The Ultrasonic Inspection Level I Online Course meets or exceeds the qualification for formal training recommendations and requirements of both ASNT SNT-TC-1a and NAS-410.
Credit: 40 Hours Credit for Ultrasonic Testing formal training
Pre-requisites: No prior training or experience by the student in the NDT method
known as Ultrasonic Inspection is required.
Course Deadline: 30 Days to Complete the Course – Once you receive your login and password information to access this course, you will have 30 days to complete the course. If you need longer than 30 days to complete the course, you may get an extension of time which requires an additional fee.
Who Should Take This Course: This is an excellent course for NDT trainees who must have Level I training in order to qualify for certification. The course is meant for facility personnel who are responsible for using the Ultrasonic method for compression wave flaw detection and for determination of remaining wall thickness of critical components within the plant environment.
It is also good for the person who has a need for understanding how others are performing in his company’s behalf.

The Hands-On Lab includes:
- Hands-On time with equipment for the method of instruction
- Instructor-Led Exercises for learning the correct techniques for using the equipment in the field
- Actual Work Procedures to help you learn how to interpret and use a procedure - This includes a written (computer-based) Specific Test to verify your ability to interpret and apply the working procedure.
- Opportunity to practice the correct techniques on work samples before conducting the Practical Test
- A Practical (Hands-On) Test to verify your ability to properly apply what you have learned and accurately report findings related to flaw identification and sizing.
The Specific and Practical Tests included in the Hands-On Lab complete the 3 tests as described in ASNT SNT-TC-1a, CP-189, etc. Your employer may choose to use these tests as verification of your skills, administered by a third party agency.
